Classic LPs for vinyl returnees No.26
Curtis Mayfield. Curtis/Live
This double live LP from Curtis Mayfield is a great introduction to an under-related soul songsmith, whose distinctive approach still sounds great today. The live set covers both songs he wrote for the impressions & solo material, all played in his signature early 70s style. It makes for a highly absorbing listen; its groovy & relaxed and will make you hungry for more of his excellent solo music.

Dear creative people of the fedi 😊🎨🎹❤️
I am thrilled to announce that my 3rd album is now not available online.
Yep, you read that right, you can't download it, you can't stream it, you can't buy it, and AI bros can't harvest it.
It is only available in exchange for something creative that you have created yourself.
More info and how it works:

Songs from the Last Page
25 April, Musselburgh. £18
Written & performed by composer and songwriter Gareth Williams. Each song in the collection is inspired by the final lines of iconic Scottish literature – from Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes to Ely Percy’s DUCK FEET – transforming these into new pieces of music.
