Remember when #Firefox used to come with an integrated video calling service called Firefox Hello?

Now they’re offering their users #Amazon giftcards in exchange for taking a survey over #Zoom.

So you run non-free software in order to connect to an unethical service so you can go shopping at an unethical company. To be fair though, they also promote the alternative option of sending you money directly via an unethical payment processor. What can I say? Thanks for improving Firefox.

I have been using #Firefox also exclusively on all my laptops and lab computers both on #Linux and #Windows. Only make sense I would also use it or its derivatives on my #Android phones too. Yes I am. I use #IceRaven and #Fennec on my phone, both come with browser extension support and are still receiving updates now and then. However still, one small issue bugs me. Although sync work for both browsers after I login my #Mozilla account, meaning I can see all tabs and history and all across devices, sending a tab from one device to another barely works. I remember with my last phone it worked most of time, more then half I suppose, but with the phone I am using now, it never worked for both browsers. I might have to give vanilla firefox a try though, before I am sure.

Then the market could decide its value.

Forcing it into the browser without consent is an admission that it does not provide users with value and could not survive without a heavy thumb on the scales.

Now, they updated the ToS, and you can't watch p0rn, or your data will be sold, or they no longer care about the orignal mission, etc. Once again, we see C-suits lose their grip on reality. As long as they are getting paid in millions, software projects can go to /dev/null. It is like they want to ruin the project on purpose. There is no other explanation I can think of. Can you?
