I'm not enthusiastic about the horror plot, and the dog's perspective could have been used in more interesting ways, but the bond between a dog and his human? I don't think I've seen it represented anywhere better than here.
I agree with The Flick Philosopher's take on that part: https://www.flickfilosopher.com/2025/09/good-boy-movie-review-horrors-beyond-canine-comprehension.html
I'm super late for my biannual re-#introduction post... Whoops! 😅
Anyway, I'm slanderoid. I'm just some guy from a tiny #rural village in Midwest, USA. I came to #Mastodon after #Twitter turned into a medical waste dumpster fire back in 2022. I'm turning 40 in a week and I feel weird about it
I'm a #geek. (Or a #nerd, I'm not sure which.) I love #horror of all kinds. I used to play a lot of #VideoGames but not so much, lately. I'm more into #movies and #music at the moment. I love #books and I can often be found #reading something. My wife and I run a big #LittleFreeLibrary from our front lawn. We've got some big plans for it next year!
I recently launched a website full of my #writing over at https://notaherostory.com. #NotAHeroStory has been my dream for many years and it's cool that, after some hard work, time, and dedication, it finally exists! If you're into #fantasy, #comedy, #LitRPG, or #beer, you should check it out. It's 94% free!
If you're new here, welcome! 😄

In the 4 years I've been on Mastodon, I haven't seen many other filmmakers here. (I think I'm already following the maybe 3 that are actually here.) But if this post happens to reach any other filmmakers or screenwriters, I'd love to try and forge a film community on this platform. (I don't think there is an existing one? Please correct me if I'm wrong.) Film reviewers and movie fans are great too! 🎬

Folks it is now ONE HOUR until #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party. If you want to avoid a bunch of goofy toots from some movie-watching nerds, best set up a hashtag filter.
If you'd like to join in, this week we're watching JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF TIME (1967), in which some nerds get thoroughly lost in the fourth dimension. Probably gonna be a lotta clocks, might wanna bring some earplugs.
The flick's available free with ads over on Tubi: https://tubitv.com/movies/100057918/journey-to-the-center-of-time
Or you can download in advance from Archive.org: https://archive.org/details/JourneytotheCenterofTime
Either way, just hit play at the top of the hour and toot along. See you there!
