It is my personal and professional opinion, not to fund or further trust the Starkey Development.
I am out 1,000 bucks and that is my own doing. My fault. My stupidity.
But the development may be toxic with some not so nice individuals. The software, I like. You're likely using the software too (It's good, isn't it? I think so). But I do believe there are some toxic people you may not want to be associated within the development.

Account migration from #Mastodon 
to #GoToSocial 
was successful!
memory usage kept below 600MB during the migration of 1.5k followers, amazing performance and makes me want to learn 
better, so I can contribute.
As expected, part of my followers could not be migrated (451 accounts) because the software they use doesn't support the Move mechanism.
I will keep the old Mastodon running for one more week and then shutdown the VPS.
BTW: GoToSocial comes with OpenTelemetry builtin, but I have not enabled it, so to monitor I am using only glances and lnav and it was enough to understand what was happening in terms of errors and usage of resources.

Just a quick comparison between @Vivaldi and @mozilla Mastodon profiles.
Vivaldi vs Mozilla
- 3000+ vs 87 posts
- 21 vs 14 months old
- ~ 21 thousand vs ~ 29 thousand followers
The last revenue of Mozilla that I found is of the order of USD 400+ million, while Vivaldi Technologies seems to have 10 to 100 times less on revenue. And Vivaldi browser has direct integration with Mastodon.
Quite intriguing.
Mozilla's instance was never a project. I think we can't even call it an experiment. At most a joke.

Snac2 is an excellent software solution for accessing the Fediverse. It is lightweight, very easy to compile and install, has minimal dependencies, and the development is progressing along a clear, clean, and logical path - thank you, @grunfink
Since last December, BSD Cafe has had, among its services, a snac instance - https://snac.bsd.cafe - which has been used sparingly, mainly by some for testing purposes. I’ve kept it as a 'testing' option.
In light of the interest it is generating (we now have stable users) and given that development is evolving to allow for both inbound and outbound movement, I have decided to designate it as a stable solution for accessing the Fediverse and to consider it a primary service of the BSD Cafe.
It has always received the utmost attention, I have consistently updated it promptly, and it has always been accessible, but I have also modified all the descriptions to clarify that it is a stable and definitive solution.

There is a big opportunity to make a better Mastodon iPhone app right now.
The one I’m using has a lot of bugs and weird decisions built into it. At the same time, I acknowledge it’s the best one I know of.
I wish the official app was better, but it isn’t.
