I celebrated this in the past, but I can’t help but think this is temporary and or a marketing gimmick that will go away after they receive money from something/someone tangentially related to any of these AI companies. Maybe I am too skeptical of this announcement, but I hope I’m wrong. All sectors of the tech industry, even open source, has proven time and time again that they do not care about principles nor their users, only about opportunity and breaking things and profits. I just simply do not trust anything in the Tech industry ever again.
