In the middle of the narrow way stood the motionless, steel-clad figure.

A lonely, rocky mountain peak under a yellow-green sky. Sticking out of the peak is a post with a sphere at the top of it. The sphere has a smiley-face carved into it. One half of the sphere is blue; the other is covered with runny neon-pink and yellow paint. The paint is being slathered on by a figure holding a large brush and a pink paintcan. Rivulets of pink, yellow, and blue paint run down the sphere and the posts it’s on, and then on down the mountain. The figure must have been working for a while, since the left half of the mountain is covered with paint. The right half is an emerald green. The painting is signed “Chris Silverman”.

A desert scene, late afternoon: a golden sky with clouds scattered across it, and a partially concealed sun. A truck is parked in the middle of a barren rise, the driver standing next to it, casting a long shadow. Visible in the distance is the hazy brown shape of a natural rock formation. Flying overhead is a black triangular aircraft seen from the rear, the red glow of the engine visible and a bright green light on the underside.

A large balloon that looks like a fish floats over a rocky, dark purple hill. The fish has an iridescent, nearly glowing blue eye. Holding on to a cable dangling from the fish is a person, swinging through the air several feet above the ground. The sky is a bright red, and the underside of the fish balloon is lit yellow with sunlight. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A heavily outfitted figure walks in a greenish-blue space. The figure is humanoid, but has disproportionately long arms and only three fingers. It is wearing some sort of dark suit with a bluish-purple sheen to it, and is carrying a pack on its back. The pack has small green and blue lights on it. The figure's head is covered by a helmet or face covering, and a tube extends from the pack to the helmet. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A desolate sun hangs in the sky. In the foreground is a concrete wall with a giant concrete pipe opening out of it. The ground appears to be scrubby grass. A short distance away, a robot with a spotlight on its head stands facing the tunnel. In the sky, a helicopter flies overhead. This is a primarily monochrome drawing: black on gray beige.

An open, swampy area in a forest. It's the late afternoon; the sky is pink with the sun lowering towards the trees. There is an overgrown path with dead, branchless trunks of trees next to it. In the distance is visible a tree line. Crossing the path, heading to the right into the part of the drawing that suggests an open bog, is the shambling, hunched silhouette of something with two sharp, pointy ears and a humanoid hand. Closest to the viewer is a large, weathered yellow sign that says "area closed". A hawk wheels in the sky.

Oh heyy~ it's disability pride month✨👀

Hi, I'm a freelance illustrator who's also born deaf. I was fully raised in the hearing world w/o sign language. I use 2 cochlear implants. With them, I'm hard of hearing and still face barriers in everyday life.

As an illustrator I'm privileged to be able to do this job from home, almost all communication via email & minimal reliance on spoken language. I've always loved drawing so this was always my dream profession.

A young woman in 15th century inspired black plate armor, looking wistfully and holding a longsword that has a magical golden light emanating from it. Behind her is a rich colorful tapestry with late Medieval motifs that's interwoven with gold thread.

King Arthur sits on the ground next to a mossy rock, proudly thrusting the sword Excalibur up into the air, suggesting that he's just drawn it out from the stone. It has a magical blue glow. In the background, some people cheer his success, while a few others seem miffed about it.

An interpretation of the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu, sitting and playing an ancient lute. She has long bright yellow hair that radiates out from her like sun rays. An amulet or mirror around her neck radiates even more rays.

A large, rusty metal machine staggers forwards on two mechanical legs. The machine looks like something between a construction vehicle and a short, squat locomotive. It has a large grill in front, a small cab up top with no windshield, and a small door in the side. A tall smokestack extends up from the front hood. The machine has headlights and yellow warning stripes, with a faded red triangle painted on the side. Moss and dirt hangs from the underside. No driver is visible. The sky is an eerie goldenrod yellow. The painting is signed "Chris Silverman".

A hulking humanoid-but-not-quite-human creature stands in a dark gray space under a blazing green-white ceiling lamp. The cone of light pours down around it. It has a disproportionately large upper body, two huge arms, and two small legs. It is mostly in shadow. It is wearing a tan tie and a small ID badge of some sort. Where its face would be are three glowing lights: green, red, and blue. Behind it on the cold gray wall is a round analog clock showing 10:05. The painting is signed “Chris Silverman”.

#art #history: i wish those bampots who're going about with their flags of st george & their paintbrushes & their screaming at hotels & their fear-based, media-&-rich-folk-stoked racism would realise that immigration is an integral part of a strong society. where would england be without freddie mercury? nowheresville.
