This is an Autumn season photo of a very mature deciduous tree alongside a hiking trail. A dense morning fog fills a quiet forest, turning the background almost white and blurring every edge. A lone figure, seen from behind, walks away along a wide path covered in damp, brown leaves. Above them, bare branches and a few rusty autumn leaves arch into view from either side, framing the misty corridor. The light is diffuse with very low contrast; the trees and shrubs alongside the path fade after a few metres and the distant trees disappear completely, creating a muted, contemplative atmosphere in which no other people, animals or buildings are visible.
