<p>A lot of new folks coming to the <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#fediverse</a> and I need to update, so here&#x27;s a new <a href="/tags/introduction/" rel="tag">#introduction</a>. </p><p>I work as a <a href="/tags/video/" rel="tag">#video</a> guy. An aspiring novelist looking to connect more with the <a href="/tags/writingcommunity/" rel="tag">#writingcommunity</a>. My debut novel is with beta readers. </p><p>I&#x27;m a rare sports fan on <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#mastodon</a>, cheering the <a href="/tags/packers/" rel="tag">#Packers</a>, <a href="/tags/dcu/" rel="tag">#DCU</a>, <a href="/tags/usmnt/" rel="tag">#USMNT</a> and <a href="/tags/uswnt/" rel="tag">#USWNT</a>. </p><p>Other stuff you can expect: urbanism (<a href="/tags/train/" rel="tag">#train</a> and <a href="/tags/bicycle/" rel="tag">#bicycle</a> in particular), <a href="/tags/fitness/" rel="tag">#fitness</a> (mostly weightlifting), <a href="/tags/newmusic/" rel="tag">#newmusic</a> and <a href="/tags/gaming/" rel="tag">#gaming</a> (<a href="/tags/tabletop/" rel="tag">#tabletop</a> and video).</p><p>I tend to follow back.</p>

<p>Organizers Log:</p><p>I have been looking for a new location for FediCon 2026.</p><p>The location we used for FediCon 2025 is very nice — but also very expensive. (I paid for it out of my own pocket.)</p><p>I am trying to find a new location that is either less expensive or, if possible, free.</p><p>I&#x27;d like to try to keep the ticket prices low. <p>Starting to feel like this 2025 Influx of users is much larger than 2022 Influx of users. New users come in huge waves. Many of them also seem to genuinely like Mastodon according to the feedback. In 2022 many tried, soon gave up and left to Bluesky or back to X. Today, many have even deleted their commercial accounts and settled here.</p><p>I like this new development of things. Seeing new faces and more cat photos bring me so much joy. Thanks for being here. So go ahead and find people and organizations that you like and follow them. Make things interesting.
