he’s also wearing brown gloves with green fabric made to look like cohitre; whilst holding a leather bag that most folks would think is a bowling bag but ―for boricuas of my generation (GenX)―, this looks like the weekender bags our families used to collect from PanAm and TWA, two airlines that became symbols of what Luis Rafael Sánchez called “la guagua aérea”.

almost forgot to include the shoes. they look like they may be short leather boots, which go with the Zoot suit aesthetics. they’re the same ivory/cream white of the tie.

this is peak boricua dandy.

I’ve enjoyed all of her other books, but Michelle Obama’s “The Look” was a DNF for me because fashion isn’t something I find interesting other than making sure my clothes and shoes are neat, clean, and comfortable to wear.

If you do like that topic, there are plenty of pictures of the fancy outfits she’s worn over the years in it.

There is something to be said for trying new stuff sometimes, though.

Alright you adorable ita bag lovers. I have to get rid of this bat shaped bright bat designs ita bag, because it's just a bit too big and awkward for me to properly store in my current apartment. If you don't know what an ita bag is, it's used to show off your pins. You put your pins on the insert inside and they show through the clear plastic window, so they don't get damaged, and if they fall off, they fall to the bottom of the bag, and not on the floor.

I'm willing to part with it for the cost of shipping it to where ever you are.

It didn't come with inserts, but I made both of these that I will send to you. It came with straps, but I've since lost them, so I'll send you this random strap I found instead. The main compartment is big enough for an original nintendo switch and it also has a smaller inner pocket for things like debit cards and cash. It's been loved over the years, but has minimal wear and tear. It's mostly fine, but has the wings are slightly bent inwards from how it was stored. They could easily be bent back though with a few heavy books.

It's a very cute bag, and I used it for years, but it's time to move on. Let me know your address and I'll let you know what shipping is. You can DM me your signal or matrix username if you'd prefer to send your address that way. It'll probably be anywhere from $25-30 if you don't live in Europe. Much cheaper if you live here though :3
