The drawing depicts an imagined monumental triumphal arch, massive in scale and framed by classical detailing. The composition is asymmetrical, allowing for dramatic contrast between the towering arch and the surrounding architectural fragments.

The arch is adorned with Corinthian columns, rich entablatures, and elaborate sculptural reliefs.
