Today is World Dracula Day, which marks the publication of the eponymous novel in 1897. However, Glasgow has its very own vampire story, which happened in the Gorbals area of the city in 1954, as commemorated by this mural from the Art Pistol Projects.
It all started when rumours began circulating amongst local school children in the Gorbals area of the city that a seven foot tall vampire with iron teeth had kidnapped and eaten two local boys.
