We are the luckiest family on earth.
On Sunday, we get the keys to our new townhouse in #Canada, finally.
So we walk over there today for fun, & our neighbor Jerry, who must be over 70, is cutting down our overgrown bushes for us, because we told him we wanted to pull some of them to give Hammy more space. He wanted to get the ball rolling.
On his own. Because he's amazing.
& he's going to keep doing it until we actually move in.
We were floored.

You know, it occurred to me today there’s very likely a certain class of German citizen—not the government or mainstream media, I’d not go that far at this point—who from the shadows will be saying, aloud where he feels safe:
“Let the Jews hang themselves. Keep the support, funding and arms flowing, by all means! When they’ve finished with Gaza and the crime is finally exposed and recognized, they’ll know how it feels...”

This cub was flipping rocks and looking for clams, mussels and fish at low tide. It learned by watching its mother. She was a few metres away.

I meant to share this with you the other day.
I went to a paint store to get swatches, and as I pulled out of the small parking lot, I saw this trash bin with a very unexpected, un-trashy message.

So Canada's exports actually went up by 1% despite a 16% drop in exports to the US.
That means that missing 17% of our exports all went to our friends, mostly in Europe.
Pretty solid stuff.
So you know what we just did?
We just faxed our ballots from #Canada to our county election division's office in California.
We voted. We SO f'ing voted.

Reminder to people in #Europe and #Canada that there are a lot of #transgender and #disabled people in the US who could use your help right now. There are a few #charities which are going to need some heavy funding over the next couple years (the Trevor Project and ACLU come to mind), and we also have a #MutualAid hashtag right here on Fedi. Please also consider that servers in the US, like this one, are talking about relocating to a safer country, which may change our financials.
