This is the 2nd summer for my purple coneflowers. Last year it was about a 1/3 the size and this year is has already put on more blooms than all of last year.

Purple coneflower is a favorite of mine and a friend was kind enough to let me pull some out of his garden two years ago. That's my favorite way to garden: cheap/free and an early reward 👍.

📷 A not-small percentage of cut fresh flowers are never sold, depending on the venue. They're usually credited against fresh flowers from the wholesaler.

Peeked in the flower shop fridge tonight at Ingles and zoomed in on a dozen, gorgeous, pink roses, past perfection, in decay. Beautiful. ❤️
