Brooklyn tree pit sunflower.

A single large sunflower blossom -- I don't remember what variety, but it's bright yellow and has a dense, fuzzy-looking center, with petal sticking out around the edges.

In the background you can see an assortment of other, smaller wildflowers in the tree pit, and then the street and parked cars behind that.

Ruby-throated #hummingbird in our front #garden. After the spring migration wave passes I still see one or two that stay around through the summer. Haven’t been able to get any photos of it but yesterday I got lucky, walked out with camera in hand and it was right there at the #zinnias. The numbers will swell in a few weeks and they’ll hang around till the first strong cold front blows through in late Oct or so.
