Latest #blog is on French animated #film Arco. Went into it not knowing much about it and was pleasantly surprised. It shares an aesthetic and setup with Studio Ghibli works, but also reminded me in ways of videogame Terra Nil. It's clearly riding the recent wave of #solarpunk inspired art, focusing on hope and kindness rather than conflict, though I have some issues with its pessimistic view on human/nature harmony. 🎉 Another milestone reached: my first contribution to @Mastodon has been merged into main!
I noticed the Service Worker was broken on 4.6.0-rc.1 and recent nightlies - its code chunks were requested from the site root and returned 404, so the worker never installed. That means no push notifications and no offline cache.
On my own instance I had been keeping it alive with some hacky Dockerfile symlinks. 😅
Now there's a proper fix: a small Vite plugin that rewrites the chunk paths at build time.
Admins on 4.6-rc.1 / nightly: the fix is on its way - your Service Worker will come back to life in the next build.

Small win in the new role.
Two weeks in, and I got official permission to use @Vivaldi as my work browser 
Edge stays the company standard, this is a personal exception, and I am perfectly fine with that. For now.
The formal route existed: a software approval request, a ticket, the whole bureaucratic chain.
What actually settled it was a short live demo at our Friday Jour Fixe for the head of IT, a man who has spent decades keeping infrastructure stable and does not adopt shiny tools by default.
I showed Tiling, Notes, Sessions, Workspaces with Rules, Read Later, and the F2 command panel. No slides, no pitch, just the browser doing its thing.
Substance won over defaults. That felt really good.
