Because of radio frequency jamming, fiber optic #drones are being used by #Russia and #Ukraine on the frontlines

They just spool the fiber out as they fly

Apparently some areas look like giant spider webs everywhere from the endless #drone flights

And #birds are now using the waste of war to make their nests

Imagine a striking bird that lives along the coast, especially on rocky shores. The Sooty Oystercatcher is entirely black, from its head to its tail, looking very sleek. What really stands out are its bright, almost glowing, red-orange bill, which is quite long and strong, and its pinkish-red legs. These vibrant colors against its dark body make it quite distinctive.

These birds are found in places like Australia and New Zealand. They are often seen walking confidently on rocks or along the waterline, searching for food. Their name "oystercatcher" gives a clue about what they eat, but they're not just limited to oysters! They use their powerful, specially designed bill to pry open or even hammer into hard-shelled creatures like mussels, limpets, and, yes, oysters. They can also snip the muscles inside a slightly open shell to get to the soft meat. Besides shellfish, they'll also eat crabs, marine worms, and other small creatures found in the coastal environment.

Fantastic turnout today No Kings March, Palm Beach Gardens. Probably 2000 people or so both sides of busy highway, very inspiring in the brutal 32.5C heat/high RH. Only 2 MAGAt problems, big black oversized trucks w big wheels (always trouble, those) speeding past, yelling, flipping off. If police weren't there, they may well have run into the crowd.
