The existing osprey nest here was completely wiped out by the winter storms so they're working on rebuilding it from scratch.

Though (2nd photo), the osprey seem to have had some trouble getting started. Or they just ended up with a lot of extra pieces.

Last night we saw a fairly large bird on the fence that we couldn't identify, and only caught a blurry photo of it. After asking around, it seems it may have been an osprey! Now I'm impatient for it to come back so we can get a better look/photo.
