<p>&quot;Three Eastern Bluebirds On A Cold Winter Day&quot; ... my newest add to my website captured in the winter of 2019 of the sweetest little Eastern Bluebirds. We&#x27;ve been looking for their return all winter, but no luck. <p>Today I listened to a great bird appreciation book, The Private Lives of Public Birds by Jack Gedney. It&#x27;s a collection of reflective essays about common birds of California and how to be more attentive to them. There was a fair bit of overlap with my Arizona bird friends, but even when it was a bird I didn&#x27;t know, it was worth it to hear the author&#x27;s experience of the bird. Last night we saw a fairly large bird on the fence that we couldn&#x27;t identify, and only caught a blurry photo of it. After asking around, it seems it may have been an osprey!
