An alpine-type landscape full of short plants including odd-looking red succulents to the upper left, star-shaped green succulents in the center, and some rocks covered in yellow moss to the lower right. In this confusion of unusual plants stands a highly patterned birb in shades of brown. What the bird intends to camouflage as is pretty unclear but the camo is actually pretty good even though the plants around are not in fact brown... Rotkehlchen mit Ilex und roten Beeren ist ein handgemaltes Acrylgemälde im Querformat der Künstlerin Karen Kaspar.
Ein Rotkehlchen sitzt auf schneebedeckten Ilexzweigen, umgeben von den Blättern in kräftigen Grüntönen mit leuchtend roten Beeren dazwischen und schaut interessiert in Richtung des Betrachters. Die leuchtend orangefarbene Brust des Singvogels hebt sich ab vom Hintergrund in sanften Rosa- und Blautönen. Leise rieselt der Schnee in kleinen Schneeflocken vom Himmel.

Crest of Curiosity

Here’s an image for tufted titmouse (scientific name) lovers. It kind of reminds me of a little guy in a uniform, standing with his hands behind his back, watching a parade go by. I said “guy,” but honestly I have no idea — tufted titmice aren’t sexually dimorphic, so this one could just as easily be a she.

Tufted titmice are a favorite among a select group of bird enthusiasts. To celebrate these charming creatures, I’ve curated a special collection dedicated entirely to them in my photo gallery. Take a look!
