At the Neighbour’s! #BirdCallOut

A sandhill crane with one leg lifted and tucked under its body. The bird is a large feathered dinosaur with sandy brown plumage over most of its body, white markings wrapping its cheeks from bill to the back of the head, and a bright scarlet red cap extending to just below the eye. In the background is a typical countryside assortment of sheds, bins, and a well pump.

So, there’s this patchy red feathered cardinal who’s been coming here to get peanuts, and I finally managed to get a pic of him in the rain today. Not sure if he’s molting, but his plumage hasn’t changed since I first spotted him a few weeks ago.
