Their favorites are dried mealworms and shelled black oil sunflower seeds. But one thing they definitely don't seem to like are cold, snowy days.

Chooms, today I want to proudly show you why the Fediverse is top-notch.

I always wanted to learn to draw, but I never quite managed to create something cool. In the Fediverse, I frequently saw people learning things that seemingly brought them joy, and that motivated me so much that I started learning to create artworks about a year ago. I began with drawing and then moved on to vectors (which suit me better), and thanks to your feedback, I kept improving (at least that's what I believe).

And now comes a twist: thanks to the community, this amazing artwork came to life. I've occasionally posted its development locally on this instance, and everyone who gave feedback has been immortalized in my artwork.

I present to you, Ivy. A street kid from Night City, she helps you with every gig and hangs out with you at the place where the former legends of the CORTEX IMPLANT and HACKERS TOWN gang used to meet!

I spent two weeks working on this artwork, and every minute was a joy! So much fun that you can even get prints to hang in your space - if you’d like.

American artist Lilla Cabot Perry died #OTD in 1933.

She worked in the American Impressionist style, rendering portraits and landscapes in the free form manner of her mentor, Claude Monet. Although it was not until the age of thirty-six that Perry received formal training, her work with artists of the Impressionist, Realist, Symbolist, and German Social Realist movements greatly affected the style of her oeuvre.

The black on this mug comes from terra sigillata made from a ball of manganese-rich New Mexico clay my friend gave me. After they’re done firing, I lightly sand the exterior of each mug with a fine-grain sandpaper. The handles become smooth and soft to the touch.

The hike to reach this spot in the Oregon wilderness was long and winding, but every step was worth it when I found myself in a magical enclave.

We never have been obsessive about our yard, which is one reason we enjoy living in the country.

The weeds in the fields around us, as opposed to being something we slop poison over, are a salad bar for our goats, not to mention a resource for ourselves, as we forage and make teas.
