Payment was orders of magnitude more than a normal acting gig — up to $80,000, where a national ad campaign for a big brand might ordinarily pay $6,000. @404mediaco's Rosie Thomas spoke to voice actors about the "Faustian bargain" of accepting such roles. If you're an author, and your books have been registered with the US Copyright Office, you may be eligible to be included, and thus receive damages.
