This black and white photograph shows the back of a freight wagon on a side track between other wagons. Between the tracks on either side are two tall poles with lights pointing towards the wagon. Tall grass is growing in front of the wagon and the tracks on which it is standing are not visible. It has remnants of paint that form vertical and horizontal light stripes.

One of my favourite #abandoned places that I have photographed Dagverðará, #iceland

While photographing it a large Icelandic Raven snuck up on me and cawed loudly right behind me, scaring the crap out of me! It's part of my book Icelandic Echoes, which you can find pretty easily with google.

The house has unfortunately been vandalised externally since I was lucky enough to photograph it here in Winter, 2017.
