<p>finished playing <a href="https://eggplant.place/search?r=1&q=https://eggplant.place/game/7WAv4WX53DiE3ujbA28Yk3" rel="nofollow">8Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure</a> 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑 <br>As a <a href="/tags/metroidvania/" rel="tag">#metroidvania</a>, it works decent, and though it is a tad linear, being a <a href="/tags/soulslike/" rel="tag">#soulslike</a> hides that decently.</p><p>Combat and exploration can be a bit clunky, but the clunkiness doesn't get in the way too often.</p><p>Music is mostly ambient but fits quite well.</p><p>Art feels quite fitting, somber as expected from a metroidvania, but not as oppressive as they usually are. Also the style fits quite well also the folklore/myth line the game goes for.</p><p>Story works but better to not say much else I risk spoiling things.</p><p>Feels like a solid 7/10!</p><p>Also, NeoDB doesn't track entries there yet, so to those interested, <a href="/tags/8doors/" rel="tag">#8Doors</a> is on <a href="/tags/gog/" rel="tag">#GOG</a> too.<br></p>
