自己的阳台栏杆上出现了像被单一样挂在上面的少女，这种非现实的情节出现在了上条当麻的眼前。虽然在这个城市——最先进科学引导的学院都市中，超能力已经可以通过科学技术创造出来，但是眼前这位自称“茵蒂克丝”的少女还是把上条当麻吓了一条。茵蒂克丝自称因拥有十万三千本魔导书而被魔法师追杀，而上条当麻靠自己的超能力也认定了少女的魔法。少女以危险为由离开上条家，上条如往日一般去学校学习，但放学回家，却发现茵蒂克丝倒在血泊之中。在科学与魔术交叉的世界中，上条当麻与茵蒂克丝的故事开始了。

电击文库最畅销的轻小说《魔法禁书目录》曾在2008年10月由J.C.Staff改编成同名TV动画并大获好评，其外传《某科学的超电磁炮》也于09年10月改编成TV动画，相信不少观众早已拜倒在炮姐裙底的安全裤上。5月20日从日本著名的映像出版会社TSUTAYA传出了2010年秋天动画二期的图片。

The story begins with Tatsumi, a young swordsman from a remote countryside village, who travels to the Imperial Capital seeking funds to save his starving home. Once he arrives, he discovers that the capital is riddled with corruption and cruelty. He stumbles upon the secret group of assassins known as Night Raid, who are fighting to overthrow the tyrannical and corrupt regime that governs the empire. Tatsumi is recruited into Night Raid and begins his journey in a world of bullets, blades, and moral conflict.

Ever since he was a child, fifteen-year-old Souma Yukihira has helped his father by working as the sous chef in the restaurant his father runs and owns. Throughout the years, Souma developed a passion for entertaining his customers with his creative, skilled, and daring culinary creations. As Souma and his new schoolmates struggle to survive the extreme lifestyle of Tootsuki, more and greater challenges await him, putting his years of learning under his father to the test.

In order to relay the gold's location to his comrades on the outside, he tattooed the map on the bodies of his cellmates and promised them a share of the gold—provided they managed to escape and find it.
