Kuroo Hazama, also known as "Black Jack," is a legend in the medical world. Famous for being one of the best, as well as not having a license, Hazama and his assistant Pinoko save countless lives that other doctors cannot... for a price; an exorbitant price, in fact, which causes many to view the genius as greedy and heartless. Despite these claims, however, none can deny his skill and the lengths that he will go to treat his patients. This dark medical drama tells the story of the ominous and mysterious world of underground medicine as Black Jack risks his life to cure some of the most bizarre diseases imaginable, even if it means breaking every law in the process.

全金属狂潮系列的第三次冲击《全金属狂潮 The Second Raid》是无数FANS共同仰慕期待的作品，集搞笑、战斗、爱情、友情的青春话剧就要在暑期与我们大家见面，剧情角色仍然是沿袭了前两部作品，主角也仍然是相良宗介，战斗舞台则转移到了香港，大人气角色泰莎的哥哥雷纳德也终于登场了，带着他的新机体向相良发出挑战，这使得人物的关系也越发的错综复杂起来，由于他的加入使原来相良与小要、泰莎的三角关系变成了四角，在加上一系列的有意无意的误会，大乱斗的情景是铁定要有的，不过新登场的人物除上泰莎的哥哥雷纳德以外，反面角色也相继增加了三人，美貌的暗杀者还有两姐妹，夏玉兰与夏玉芳以九龙弟子的身份悉数上场。至于剧情的设定是集合了前两作的风格混合而成的，即有第一部作品中FMP火爆战斗的场面，也有校园生活的搞笑氛围，总之是集前两作的精华与一身，不知道会有什么样的效果。用贺东老师对这个作品的评价来说就是：“期待不会是错的，期待它的完成吧 。” （系列构成为原作者贺东招二老师和作为监督的武本康弘氏，连同工作组也是完全的体制。）

《豹头王传说》是栗本薫所著的长篇小说，作品讲述以主人公Guin为中心，在架空的世界、时代中的人们生与死的故事。作品从描写国与国的战争、策略、兴亡到市井人们的欲望、爱情、友情、仇恨等，是一部历史巨篇。小说从1979年9月推出第一卷《豹头的假面》以来，到2008年12月已推出123卷正传、21卷外传，总计发行部数超过2800万册，受到了众多读者的支持。小说在2003年推出英文版，随后再被翻译成德、泰、俄、法等语言，今后还将推出中文版和韩文版。小说还于2000年由柳泽一明作画推出首部改编漫画《七个魔道师》，这次是小说的首次动画化。
动画版由Satelight制作，监督为若林厚史（代表作：《幽游白书》、《火影忍者》），系列构成&剧本为米村正二（代表作：《口袋妖怪》系列、《花田少年史》），角色设定为村田峻治（代表作：《机动警察》剧场版），音乐则是RPG名作《最终幻想》系列的御用作曲家植松伸夫。
故事主角是连自己的出生地都不记得了的豹头战士古因，生于架空的世界，架空的时代，以他为中心，一幕幕的生死在上演。这部有如《三国志》般宏大的背景设定中，国与国之间的连年战争、谋略、兴亡正顺着命运的齿轮在转动，其中交织着宫廷、市井人物间的形形色色人物的野心、妄念、友情、诀别、恋爱等爱憎交织的感情大戏。
