He never expected that Buddha would take his words literally, however, but the next thing he's aware of, he's in the body of a Shiba Inu named Shinamon in modern Japan! Less than thrilled at the fact that his human warlord consciousness is trapped in the instinct-bound body of an adorable house pet, Nobunaga struggles between making the best of it (he can have that ruff all the Europeans were wearing!) and being frustrated with his reality (the ruff turns out to be a bath hat and now he has to have a bath). Is it better or worse that many of his fellow warriors also seem to have been reincarnated in canine form – and that his enemy looks like he lucked out and got to be a human?

《地球…》是少女漫画家竹宫惠子连载于《月刊漫画少年》1977年1月号到1980年5月号上的SF漫画作品。共由四个部分构成。该作曾获得过1978年的SF大赏——星云赏漫画部门赏，以及第25届小学馆漫画赏。该漫画已决定制作TV版动画，并于今年4月发送。担任动画监督的是山崎理，机械理念设计为出渕裕，人设为结城信辉。
故事讲述的是距离现代非常遥远的未来——S.D.（Superior Dominance-特殊统治体制，西历3千数百年）的时代，为了拯救环境遭到了严重破坏、徘徊于灭亡边缘的地球，所有人均退居到了殖民星球。人类从出生、成长一直到独立（14岁的那一天被称为“觉醒之日”）均由计算机管理，且被分为“普通人”和“超能力保持者”两大类。大多数超能力保持者在被发觉之前都会出现情绪不稳定的前兆，这样的人就会被单独区分出来教化、处分。但也有一些从这种管理体制中逃脱出来的超能力保持者，他们组成了集团与人类敌对。在远离地球的殖民行星アタラクシア上，一名刚刚迎来“觉醒之日”的少年乔米·马奇斯·辛也是“超能力保持者”，但与其他“超能力保持者”不同，他是数百年才会出现的一名“超能力保持者”健常者。因此也成为了“超能力保持者”的领导“soldier”的继承者。而随即，乔米便遇到了作为统治者候补人“无垢者”被养育成人的、执行机关“メンバーズ?エリート”的成员キース?アニアン。二人的相遇拉开了地球新时代的序幕……
故事舞台设定为比现在还遥远的未来。
人类因为自己居住的地球遭到严重的环境破坏，为了继续生存下去，移居到了植民惑星上。
由于一直受到计算机的管理，出现了一群拥有特殊能力的人。
在新星球上遭到了残酷政府的压迫，潜藏在人们心中的自我存在意识渐渐显露，于是想要逃回故乡地球去……
于是，一场逃回地球的战斗开始了。

In the future, mankind's seemingly utopian society is strictly controlled by the government, and anything that threatens to disrupt the status quo is ruthlessly suppressed. From the time he came across Toshizou Hijikata and Souji Okita, members from a group of hated ronin known as the Miburo, his life then takes a turn to a bluer, and clearer path. Nio, alongside the other men whose hearts burn bravely and true, step forth towards an honest path with their blue wills adorned on their hearts!

Rei Ichido, Go Reietsu, Kiyoshi Shusse, Jin Daima, and Dai Monohoshi are five mischievous boys attending Ichiou Junior High. Each with an eccentric personality and a knack for chaos, they've earned a reputation as the infamous "Kimen-gumi."

One day, new transfer student Yui Kawa and her friend Chie Uru encounter the group and soon find themselves drawn into their antics.
