New York police are bemused by reports of a giant flying lizard that has been spotted around the rooftops of New York, until the lizard starts to eat people. A mix of Ray Harryhausen and a police procedural. Unlike most stop-motion monster films, this one focuses on the characters and how they grow and change.

The first act is convoluted and probably the weakest. Richard Roundtree should’ve had a bigger role.
