French nuclear tests irradiate an iguana into a giant monster that viciously attacks freighter ships in the Pacific Ocean. A team of experts, including Niko Tatopoulos, conclude that the oversized reptile is the culprit. Long, limp facsimile of a Godzilla movie ripping off also Jurassic Park, Aliens etc while including as much corporate promotion as possible. Broderick, in particular, underwhelms.

Godzilla 98 is the Woodstock '99 of monster movies.

A gang of four eyed crooks led by Kurt Bishop are ripping off top dollar computer chips from a list of factories. The night they hit Dynaphase Systems, two dirty employees are staying late using company resources to develop their own plans for a security microchip worth millions of dollars. Psychopathic Bishop raids the Dynaphase facility and downloads the mainframe before the employees have a chance to completely erase their work from it. When Bishop discovers the value of the stolen, but partially erased information, he sets out after the rest of the chip design, letting nothing stand in his way.

Muddled hacker-ish "thriller" leavened by Rutger's wardrobe of bow tie + leather jacket and Tara Fitzgerald's "American" accent. And an appearance by Michelle Gomez (Sue White from Green Wing).

The FSB are the good guys! Rashist money bought a lot of foreign B-listers, but not much of a movie.

Mark Dacascos at least enjoys himself hamming it up as an "evil Jean-Claude Van Johnson", a fading martial arts star who has become a hitman with a penchant for terrible disguises & accents. I'd pay to see him in "Shaolin Cop"!

Kelly Hu gorgeous & confident, but we never got a fight with her & Mark.

Alexander Nevsky shows all the charisma of a block of wood.

Tom Arnold, Eric Roberts, Danny Trejo, Bai Ling, Matthias Hues & Billy Baldwin showed up to collect their cheques. Actually, I don't think Billy even showed up, just did it remotely.
