EDIT: my first impression was wrong, but Molina is still amazing.

@nemo XD years ago I had a blog, which shall remain secret because I don't want to get beaten by fascists, where I played with our dialects and their politics, so I get what you mean. I'm seeing a lot of parallels in this movie that I didn't catch last night, it keeps getting better the more I think about it. I've also been told that my Spanish is "cleaner" than other Catalan speakers, which pisses me off to no end. It's not a racial thing here, but there's a dominant culture erasing the others.

@nemo WTF, I might, that's actually a great question I haven't asked myself. Being from a bilingual country (Valencian Country), I kind of have two accents and one is considered lower class by the centralist assholes. And I can mask it, but I don't think I do it to suck up to them. I really have to think about this, it's not the same thing as in the movie, not nearly comparable levels of oppression, of course, but there's something here.
