Look, I didn't watch it to understand a whole generation or pretend that I'm up with the times, I just wanted to watch a movie. Having that out the way, the concept and visuals are only cool enough to keep me entertained through the runtime, but not a minute more. It didn't leave me with any burning unanswered questions, the psychological depth it tries to have... it just isn't there, but I like Twilightzoney movies, so I'm glad this got greenlit 馃憤

Niccol seems here more interested in building an stylized noir mystery than in exploring the social impact of this tech. But we're talking about tech that combines Meta glasses, Neuralink and Flock (to name a few), if they were made by competent people and worked like their respective techbro-dads dream they worked, so excuse me if I think that angle more interesting than trying to update old movies and make femmes fatales digital.

This was pretty good. There are some inventive shots and it's more about generating tension than grossing you out with blood.
That said, it feels cheaper than the director's previous The Autopsy of Jane Doe or Last Voyage of the Demeter, and it relies too much on jump-scares, but it's a decent small horror movie.

@Godfrey642 well, yeah, I agree, that's the kind of article I boost on Mastodon, I try to be as anti-TechBro as I can.
