　　游戏中玩家扮演女律师Kate Walker，开始于阿尔卑斯山深处的一个小山庄。在那里Kate本来受委托洽谈一宗机械玩具工厂的收购事宜，然而工厂所有者Anna却不幸去世，唯一的遗产继承人，她的兄弟Hans却早已失踪。为了完成自己的任务，Kate决定找到Hans并循着他的足迹追踪下去，于是她从与世隔绝的机器工厂出发，一共要经历四个不同的世界，一直来到西伯利亚，去探寻天才发明家Hans不为人知的秘密。



　　总体来说，《赛伯利亚》沿循着传统解秘游戏的路子，游戏的界面很像Broken Sword：当画面上有物体可以互动时，鼠标指针才会变换。迷题难度适中，大多数的迷题需要你的直觉，逻辑能力去解答，部分的迷题设计有如鸡。一般来说每到一个新的场景就有一些迷题在等待着你，有些迷题你自己也不清楚解答完后会对情节起到什么作用。对于《赛伯利亚》来说，游戏旨在将一个神幻的世界带入到玩家面前，目前除了《奥秘》之外很少有能涉及这类题材的游戏作品。因此有些迷题就基于这个背景设计，如果你有兴趣呢，也许会觉得很有意思，但是大多数时候，这些无关紧要的迷题只会使你觉得烦躁，虽然这些迷题是为了适应游戏的氛围而特意设计的。从这一方面来说，迷题限制了故事情节的发展，游戏进程相对缓慢。



　　任何玩过这款游戏的玩家都会对游戏的画面和声音记忆犹新。《赛伯利亚》中，伴随游戏始终，音乐是最能体现出游戏制作精良的因素之一。音效处理的相当微妙，玩家可以通过音效轻而易举地分辨出开启的是厚重的锈铁门还是木头门，而且类似管弦乐的背景音乐乐声动听，颇有些经典的味道。音乐和音效一同与游戏的环境相互映衬，既烘托了游戏气氛，又配合的天衣无缝。音效只是游戏的一个优点。由于Benoit Sokal的加盟，使得游戏画面整体的质感更上一层楼。整个游戏背景采取预先背景贴图处理，角色完全采用3D建模，并且细节突出；场景虽然是2D的，但是和《亚特兰帝斯》不同，《赛伯利亚》画面上的东西是“动”起来的，鸟在飞，景物在动，2D制作的水面微波荡漾，一切就好像身处在真实的世界一样。
