That was a very very cold opening between the two of them. #KamalaHarris took it upon herself to walk into his space and say her name aloud. Trump was ice cold.
They shook hands, seemingly at Harris’s initiation. Harris walked over to Trump w/her arm extended to initiate a handshake. “Kamala Harris,” she said as she took Trump’s hand — perhaps a subtle way to remind him, who has deliberately mispronounced her name on numerous occasions, how to pronounce her name.

Trump was up by 1.1 points in 538’s average the day after the Biden debate. Harris is up by 2.8 this morning.
We won’t see a dozen stories every day about Republicans freaking out or a zillion polls showing voters questioning Trump’s fitness for office.
This will be about the size of it.

Pundits and journos want policy details from Harris because they’re looking for flaws in an otherwise flawless campaign rollout so they can have more drama.
So they say the lack of detail is a big problem and then find swing state voters who heard that and echo it back to them for new stories.
