For anyone here who doesn't know-
They don't make your country money. They are designed to stop a country from trading with you, and go somewhere else, either as a consequence, or because they are overwhelming your own local market that you wish to maintain.
They COST the imposing country money.

I want to emphasize this one point that I suspect many Americans do not appreciate:

To my non-Canadian friends, this is a really worthwhile interview to get a broad understanding of the current situation, with enough specific examples that the lies being told by the Trump regime become easily spotted.
Good for Canadians too, of course, as we arm ourselves with facts that MAGA tries to hide.

Seems a good time to once again remind our American friends that this is how the Trump regime is acting when there *IS AN EXISTING AGREEMENT*. An exisiting trade agreement, illegal Trump tariffs, that the regime officials think everyone should just accept. Why would anyone ever trust the US government to deliver on what they (say they) agree to? They shouldn’t, is the answer.
