WATCH OUT: Since it's now illegal to write novels in November, I have resolved to write half a novel in September! Or at least aim to write 25,000 words before the month is out!
I hereby inaugurate #SpontaneousStorywritingSeptember ! Anyone want to join me in trying to reach 25,000 words before the month is done?
As time goes on I have learned to embrace my #emotions a lot more. I used to hide from them, run, do anything but actually think through them.
I suffered, and I am glad I can now, and actually #reflect even if it's painful.
One I still struggle with is #grief especially. The three most precious people in my #memories are gone, and I'm still here.
Everything I do, I do for them.
When I see them again, I'll have #stories to tell about the things they wanted to do but couldn't.

#Kroger has agreed to pay up to $1.2 billion to states and subdivisions and $36 million to #Native_American_tribes in #funding for #abatement_efforts (both to be paid over 11 years in equal installments), and approximately $177 million to cover attorneys' fees and costs (to be paid over 6 years in equal installments).
The timing of the settlement payments over multiple years, most of which are tax deductible, results in an after-tax net present value to Kroger of approximately $870 million. Initial payments would begin in December 2023.
Kroger expects to recognize a $1.4 billion CHARGED during the second quarter of 2023, which will #negatively impact #earnings per diluted share of $1.54 on a GAAP basis. This does not affect adjusted earnings per diluted share results for 2023, which are provided on a basis that excludes adjustment items.
