Some #FountainPen #sketches from last month! #Corvids ( #crows and #ravens ) are simply amazing! Had some fun with some small studies of a #tree , #bamboo , and #lotus and #lily flowers.

Here, I used my now favorite fude nib in my Jinhao 159 fountain pen.

#art #history: i promised myself that this year would be the one during which i paid tribute to the revolutionary, frida kahlo (born #otd in 1907), & then i was too busy to do her any sort of justice. not only have i rushed her portrait, but i've also had no time to write up the sort of blurb that she merits. she was a death-defying, genre-spanning communist powerhouse & diego was punching waaaaaaaay up. :)
