Cut flowers from our backyard—pink sweet william aka dianthus, purple sweet peas, orange and yellow columbine, red dianthus, yellow sunflower, and lavender —sit on sill above our kitchen sink. Also there: tiny cones from a neighborhood redwood, seashells, sparkling white sea rock, jade, tiny Bach remedy bottles reminding Be Optimistic and Hope, and cards from our daughter with verses from Romans 8:25 and 2 Corinthians 5:7. A mirror has Beatrix Potter art from Peter Rabbit above it. Cards from friends, with flowers, are taped to the wall. A hanging crystal catches the sunlight.

A silent Sunday throwback to June 28 when I was in London, and enjoying a last stroll before going to the airport. The camera is at ground level, and it looks like an abandoned city, some old stone buildings to the right and left, a glass skyscraper ahead. There are some fallen gum tree spike balls on the ground, and no people in sight.
