I've finished: Woman on the Edge of Time by Marge Piercy
This was the 40th anniversary edition of Woman on the Edge of Time and I was listening to it on it's 50th anniversary.
What amazed me was how many of the social and environmental ideals proposed for a better future are the same ones I see today.
So many of the progressive ideas we are fighting for today were already proposed more than 50 years ago and the progress is so slow, even going backwards in the past decade.
I was especially intrigued by the introduction of diverse pronouns in a 1976 novel, an idea I only became aware of in the past decade or so through contemporary works of SF&F.
I loved the ending and how it elevates Connie's role as more than just a tourist visiting from the bad old days.
