Le 4 mai est l'occasion pour un certain nombre de fans de Star Wars de célébrer les films de la série ainsi que sa « culture ».
Ainsi, la célèbre phrase « May the Force be with you » (« Que la Force soit avec toi ») a été changée en « May the fourth be with you » (« Que le 4 mai soit avec vous »).
