The Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is the most photographed bridge in the world. It's easy to understand why. The bridge itself is a beautiful piece of architectural art work and the setting is incredible.
The span reaches across the white capped waves of the San Francisco Bay below over to Marin County.
On this day the sky is blue but it's deceptively cold for San Francisco.

The Bridge

Blue Angels and the Bridge
This is an image of the US Navy Blue Angels flying just south of the Golden Gate Bridge as they make their way into San Francisco. This event takes place yearly wrapping up with the Navy's Fleet Week.
These jets fly in amazingly tight formations and put on a show that can be seen from many great places along San Francisco Bay.

Blue Angels And The Bridge

This is an image of the US Navy's precision flying team, The Blue Angels. They are flying northeasterly as the pass the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge.
This route takes them over the San Francisco Bay and into San Francisco.
In this image you can see all 6 jets flying in tight formation as they pass the south tower of the bridge. The cables stretch out and hang down towards the deck of the bridge. All 6 jets are trailing smoke out of the rear of the jets as they make their entrance.

Some days I think about how I recently saw a guy in crisis, tweaking out in the bus. He was screaming really loudly. Most people avoided him. A big dude told him to shut TF up. The guy started crying. The big dude asked, do you need a hug? And gave him some money and told him where to go get food.

Buses connect people. Sometimes the inconvenience and grit looks like a lot, but as a forever rider of buses everywhere (I like them more than trains), I have no shortage of amazing human stories I’ve witnessed in buses the world over.

I just read in the Wall Street Journal that certain areas of San Francisco remain a ‘no go zone’, despite the best and most valiant efforts of our amazing ‘only good mayor in a while’, the billionaire whose mama paid for his campaign.

The no go zone, supposedly, includes the place I live in; where in the same article the same mayor says ‘it also has the highest number of children’

The Pyramid

The Transamerica Pyramid has been an iconic building ever sine I was a young boy. I recall seeing it on television during a golf tournament sponsored by I believe the Trans America co.
At the time of completion this building was the fifth tallest in the world and the tallest west of the Mississippi River.
The building is 850 feet and 48
Construction began in 1969 and it was finished in 1972.
