Rocky Mountain National Park

I had one chance to get up in the mountains on a visit to Colorado some time back. Despite the nice sunny look, at 14,000 ft it was rather cold at the summit.
I wish I could have gone the previous day when a storm was skirting the area but I obligations. Although, to me, this is very beautiful, I can only imagine what it would have looked like with clouds around the peaks.

The scene opens like a deep breath of alpine air—crisp, bright, and impossibly clear. The overall mood is one of stillness and altitude: the quiet confidence of a landscape shaped by wind, weather, and time, standing luminous under a sun that feels both gentle and fierce.
