roadtrip
I’m on a two wk roadtrip (from WA) touching Nevada, California and Arizona. Just visited the Grand Canyon, it was grand of course and at a balmy 38F 😬 Photos from home later…

I want to do EV road trip from Boston to Halifax Nova Scotia and the only leg of the trip that concerns me a bit is from Gardiner Maine to this border town Woodstock in Canada. The pic only showing 100+kw charging stations. It’s a bit over 200 miles.
If I do a deep charge at Gardiner I should be able to make it.
It seems like charging isn’t the limiting factor of how fast we could travel on a road trip - it’s my bladder 🫠and the slow service of Dunkin’ in Maine…
Plan for tomorrow drive back home
Gonna try two new charging stations. The first and second legs are gonna be near limit. I’m charging to 100% tonight at hotel.
Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia!
Playing fetch during charging break…
I felt so dumb that I forgot to change the unit back to imperial on the charging app after coming back to the US. It says the range was enough for 260km but I misread it as 260miles and stopped charging. As I started navigating to our house the car added another charging stop…
So after we had some food, we had to charge 7 more mins ðŸ«
And the new Tesla supercharger at Augusta ME is v3.5 meaning it has v4 dispensers but v3 cabinets. So high voltage cars still won’t get full power from the charging station.
I wrote about my first EV road trip experience with planning, charging, range (mis)calculation and my adventure:

There’s something about a road trip that captures the freedom of a Friday. This photo from a quiet highway in Virginia reminds me how small adventures can bring so much peace. What’s your #FridayFeeling today?
