May I present a #floppy disk damage type: small localized media damage: If you have a format like this IBM formatted floppy, you want to see 3 lines of Short, Medium and Long pulses representing time between flux transition on the magnetic media of 2, 3 and 4 us.

Sometimes when you have this happen, the error can go away after rotating the disk a bit, if this frees up something sitting on the magnetic media. It wasn't the case on this disk.

Sometimes these can be be fixed by oscillating the motor driver frequency and/or increasing the pressure on the read heads just slightly. This fixed it in on this sector.

a flux graph from RecoveryWhiskers. Sector 5 was located but has bad data (marked as red). The lower (S) and upper (L) lines converge in the middle at one small spot and the flux parser is having a hard time to detect if this is a pulse for the middle line (M) or the S or L lines.

The lines make a bit of a bow in the opposite direction as before, with the upper lines more affected than the bottom line.

The point where it previously converged is now localized to the bound of both S and L lines and I got a good data checksum out that sector 5

#RecoveryWhiskers 0.7.0 is out!

New in 0.7.0: A third flux parsing algorithm, It displays flux graphs in color and shows you sync marks and sector numbers it found. And a lot of smaller fixes.
