My hobby is taking photos of people taking photos. Here are the Brazilians at #PyConUS gathering for a group shot.

⚠️ Pro tips for any Summit presenters at PyCon US 2025: (hatchery, language, maintainer, community organizers, etc)
1. Light mode for your slides
2. Use big fonts
3. Share presentation link to your audience so they can follow along in case your slides are not readable
We're at the Python Language summit and we just made a presenter change their slides from dark mode into light mode, and also Guido had to move his seat to be right in front of the projector in order to read the slides.
With less than two weeks until @pycon, we’re excited to share our Annual Impact Report for 2023 🤩 Check it out, share, and come tell us what you think at the PSF Booth at #PyConUS! #python

Well, #PyConUS 2026 will be in Long Beach! I haven't been to LA in quite a while so that should be fun.
Taking an evening break from constant socialising at #pyconus in order to relax and eat where my Uber driver on the way in insisted that I go to properly visit Pittsburgh - Primanti Bros.
This afternoon, before the Expo Hall closed, we took a big group photo together at the Django and Djangonaut Space booth 📸✨
Django Fellows, Steering Council representatives, DSF members, volunteers, contributors, and community participants all joined together.
Guido van Rossum also stopped by and shared kind words about Djangonaut Space and the constant work the Django community brings into the wider Python ecosystem 🙂
Come visit the Django Software Foundation and Djangonaut Space booth in the PyCon US 2026 expo hall ✨
If you have questions about Django, want to meet people from the community, or just say hello, you may find Django Fellows, DSF Board and Steering Council members, Djangonauts, and other community volunteers around the booth 🙂

Didn't get your talk accepted at PyCon US? Same!
No worries. There are other opportunities to speak there: for example at one of the summits like the Maintainers Summit.
The Maintainer Summit is aimed for anyone who wants to learn more about open source project maintenance. CFP is still open but only until Feb 22.
I 3D printed some #Python logo keychain charms to give away at #PyConUS!
Most of them will be at the local community booth 726 in the Expo Hall, where @pybeach, @socalpython, San Diego Python, and Inland Empire Python Users Group will be hanging out, but I’ll also have some on me throughout the conference.
Come say hi to whomever is at the booth to grab yours, or say hi to me wherever you see me. 😁
Always love seeing the Pacman rule at the #PyconUS intro. If you want to read more, see my blog post from 9 (!) years ago.

#PyConUS 👋 come say hi to Django people to get one of our lovely stickers! We have a bunch of different designs to distribute during the conference, including brand new Django ponies 🦄 Featuring @djangogirls, @djangonaut, Django Social
Flying into Pittsburgh for #pyconus right now. Sad to miss the first morning, but I'd rather make some of the event rather than miss it!
Attn📣 @pycon US attendees: we've got a bunch of fun stuff planned for the PSF booth! Make sure to stop by starting tomorrow at the Opening Reception 🐍🎉
Look for posts over the next couple of days about everything you can do at our booth ✨🎮🤝
@pyconHave time? We REALLY need more volunteers tomorrow, Sat 🥺. Green room volunteers, session runners, swag distribution, registration, information desk. Login to https://us.pycon.org/ on your dashboard, click on volunteer>volunteering. Pick the time you're free! #PyconUS

Yes please, more of that!
Hello #PyConUS friends and future friends! 👋
I would love to meet up with you while we're both in town.
I'll be around tomorrow morning (yes I'm here early) through Sunday. No sprints for me this year.
If you would like to meet up and say hi, please feel free to direct message me on Mastodon, on Discord, or Signal me. My Signal username is "trey.02" currently.
Looking forward to chatting with you!
#PyConUS has been fantastic as usual, but the absence of so many international attendees is just palpable and sad.
I think organizations like the DSF and PSF who want to be global communities need to think long and hard if we want to continue having our primary events in the US. It’s not an easy for so many reasons, but it’s one we need to start having.
Edit: please know that this shit is really hard. Change may take years. Please be kind and patient with us as we try to work this out.
Wouldn't Django be a little nicer to work with if it had a `deploy` command?
django-simple-deploy does exactly that; it's a plugin-based library that automates initial deployments to a variety of platforms.
If you want to join the discussion, please come to the "Simplifyiing initial Django deployments" open space at 11:00, in room 315.
PyLadiesCon now has our own open source conference management tool at https://portal.pyladies.com
We have code, unit tests, and docs!
I announced it in the Community Organizers Summit at PyCon US. Check my slides to learn more.
🫶 @afimaame @webology @bmispelon @vossisboss 🫶 that’s some pretty cool stickers you have there! #PyConUS
