Was wirklich unangenehm ist, wenn man #Proxmox mit #Letsencrypt Certs fährt, dass sich bei jedem neuen Cert natürlich der Fingerprint ändert.
Damit kann der #DCM keine VMs mehr zwischen Clustern moven, bevor man nicht die ganzen Fingerprints wieder eingetragen hat.
Werde da wohl wieder auf Self Signed gehen.

Adding the new #syslog feature to #PegaProx for #Proxmox clusters during Easter is basically: hiding eggs → finding eggs → realizing some eggs are actually critical alerts
For real, many people asked me for their smaller and mid-sized environments, how to handle remote syslog of their nodes. I had some ideas (some of you may have already found my Rust interpretation of this) but I think having this included in #PegaProx as a centralized management interface makes more sense.
So, PegaProx comes with an own syslog server (ipv4/ipv6, udp/tcp, encrypted/unencrypted support) and is wired to the interface within the resources tab. Providing a quick overview of all your logs and filter options. The next thing is wiring it to the notification system of PegaProx, allowing automated alerting. Might be nice to quickly identify when the quorum got lost - all built-in into PegaProx!

I've got a Lenovo M93p Tiny with 16GB RAM and a Haswell Xeon. It's a great little unit that I used to use as my Haiku build box.
I'm thinking about using it as a #Forgejo (and maybe eventually #Codeberg) Actions runner, with a handful of lightweight VMs (Alpine, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Haiku), each using no more than a gig or two of memory.
Does anyone have any tips on doing this? I'm guessing #Proxmox would be a good start, but I wonder if #FreeBSD with #bhyve and #BastilleBSD might also do a good job.

ich hatte mir überlegt, mir einen zweiten gebrauchten ThinkCentre M720q Tiny anzuschaffen für mein #homelab, um ein Backup System zu haben und mehr mit den Möglichkeiten von #Proxmox zu spielen, aber die Tatsache, dass ein RAM Riegel genauso viel kostet wie ein ganzes Gerät, hält mich dann doch irgendwie davon ab. RAM Preise sind nur noch absurd…

The feedback was honestly amazing. Many were impressed by how PegaProx brings essential enterprise grade features to Proxmox clusters that are still missing today. We can clearly see the gaps that were fixed by #ProxLB, #ProxSnap, #ProxCLMC, #ProxPatch and many other ones! Keep in mind, PegaProx is free and fully #opensource!
That said, we know there's always room for improvement. Whether it is major enhancements or small quality of life tweaks, every detail matters. Over the weekend, I took your feedback from the calls seriously and integrated a number of improvements to make PegaProx even more intuitive and powerful.

One problem with #Proxmox is if your computer has an issue then ALL THE THINGS ARE BROKEN. Trying to install this copy fail update on my proxmox box and it hung. Everything was down! Ad Guard (DNS!) and Home Assistant, two really important things at my house!
Like, I had to get up, walk upstairs and unplug the computer. The travesty.
