<p>The fallout from the recent bill passed by MAGA will have a profound impact in those very deep red communities that helped get us to this point</p><p>"Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, Illinois, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Oklahoma, Missouri, Minnesota, and Louisiana. Kentucky would experience the largest rural Medicaid spending reduction" </p><p>Maga will point to NY and scream "Blue state" but as with CAs non coastal areas, upstate NY is quite conservative in places. These places, coupled with this ongoing hard on for "defunding" Planned Parenthood, which is the only rural OBGYN provider in many areas and uses a separate fund for abortions, will double down on this. </p><p>Plus once a hospital goes under the ripple effects will be generational as they will be unlikely to get the capacity back and the community it serves will force them to drive hours for even primary care.
