Pippin story #14. She is very missed.
Pippin, age 13
Moonshine, age 8
Moonshine was 5 years younger than Pippin and like many a younger “sister” a noodge. She wanted to play all the time (usually by using Pippin as a tackling dummy which didn’t go over well.) So Moonshine made up her own games by doing exactly what Pippin was doing. She was the ultimate copycat.
If Pippin got in a bag, well you could be assured that Moonshine would shortly be in that same bag.
Pippin story #8. She is very missed.
Age 2
Pippin learned early on that we didn’t like her jumping up on counters. Jumping up on dinner tables however, especially if there was butter, or about to be butter, was so obviously NOT the same thing.
She was brazen about it.
Pippin story #10. She is very missed.
Age 4
Pippin was always an indoor cat and not much of a hunter. She whapped an ant once, but it bit her on the nose, and that was that.
One year on vacation a mouse was loose in the cabin. Pippin frantically ran and skidded around, and almost had it, until… it jumped. She got very confused. I had to catch the mouse.
But when it came to hunting pieces of chicken that were placed on the floor, well, that was a different story!

Age 15
Like many cats, Pippin had an internal wristwatch that alerted her to all the important events of the day - eating, me coming home, snacks, treats, and bedtime treats.
She was patient, rarely ever voicing her opinions while we slept. She never walked on my face, had zoomies on the stairs, or caterwauled while hovering over her food plate.
No, she was all about restraint. 😂
