Every 4th of July, I'm the event photographer for celebrations in Monterey, CA where I work promoting small business. Nicknamed locally as the "Language Capital of the World" its remarkable diversity is always on display at its annual 4th of July parade and other celebrations. Well, that's in a normal year. Unfortunately the mood in Northern California as it has elsewhere in the United States has descended into a pall of fear and anxiety.
