奄美大島最北端、笠利崎に大変久々に行ってみました。観光客が訪れていました。
ドローンユーザーでもあまり狙ってなかったのではないかと思われる、先端の先端、岩礁に近づいてみました。
また、笠利崎から約3.6km北東にある岩礁を狙ってみました。

It's been a long time since I last visited Cape Kasarizaki, the northernmost tip of Amami Island. There were a lot of tourists there.
I got close to the very tip of the island, the reef, which I don't think even drone users often target.
I also tried shot to target the reef about 3.6km northeast of Cape Kasarizaki.

Wilson River Trail: Part 1

I had an amazing weekend, I’m so happy spring is finally here. It’s so freeing to carry everything you need on your back and be completely surrounded by nature. I feel so much safer alone in the middle of the forest than camping along forest roads. I’m considering this spring training while the Cascades are still covered in snow. This trail is ideal for that.

Wilson River Trail rounds a corner over a small creek crossing. Green ferns and light green moss covered rocks along the sides of the trail.

A light fog blankets the forest along the North Fork Wilson River near the Diamond Hill OHRV park. Thin trees line the banks of the river.

White and yellow backpacking tent is pitched along an abandoned forest road and trail. A peaceful location about a half mile off of the Wilson River Trail that gets few visitors. Tall trees and green ferns fill the forest.

Our #clematis vines are really taking off and starting to bloom. I planted them last year but they were very much underachievers, maybe because of our long hot summer, and after our one hard freeze this winter I thought they might be dead, but definitely not. This variety is called John Paul II 🤷‍♂️.

I’m an instructor of beginner photographers. On Sunday, I send an email with tips, tricks, articles, pictures, etc. Info I think students can use. It’s for both “regular” camera users and those who shoot with smartphones.

There’s mention of things to do where I am, but it’s mostly for beginning #photography students to help them take better photos - It's NOT for advanced shooters. 😃

The Long-tailed Tit is easily recognisable with its distinctive blush, black and white colouring. It also has a tail which is bigger than its body, and a bouncing flight. Sociable and noisy residents, Long-tailed Tits are most usually noticed in small, excitable flocks of about 20 birds. Like most tits, they rove the woods and hedgerows, but are also seen on heaths and commons with suitable bushes.

$A circular ring around the Sun with a red and yellow coloured inner edge, due to the refraction of sunlight by high altitude ice crystals in cirrus clouds. I’m probably the last person on earth to learn this, or at least the last Texan to learn this: lady longhorns…have long horns. I just assumed big horns = bull. There’s two longhorn cows that live on land near my neighborhood, every time I drive by I say ‘I should take their photo’. Finally, on Sunday, I drove by & saw they were out. Went back to house, grabbed camera and swung back. Looking at the photos later I was udderly amazed to see…udders on them thar #longhorns.
