Unusual winter colours
Photograph of the forest covering the lower slope of a small mountain in winter on a misty day. A black and white photograph of a row of five white pines in the sunlight, all roughly the same size and growing at equal distances, with the more wilder and darker forest behind them and white snow on the ground. The pines have rather thick, straight trunks, and each of the five branches into several trunks with large lower branches, giving each a unique and interesting shape, as if they were moving. The smaller lower branches are dead, have no needles, and appear whiter in the sunlight.
