The playlists on the https://fedi.video website now show the latest videos at the top of each list. This makes it a lot easier to browse, and also lets you quickly check the latest videos first:
Hopefully this makes it easier to discover interesting PeerTube videos and accounts 🙂 I've also tidied up the lists, removed non-functional videos etc.
(NOTE: The film playlists show the films in order of release year.)

If you can't find a video's post within Mastodon, copy-paste the video's web address into the search box in Mastodon.

A mobile app is now available on F-Droid to let you watch videos on PeerTubePeer. Tube is a federated (ActivityPub) video streaming platform using P2P (WebTorrent) directly in the web browser.

With 2 days left to go, PeerTube is less than $6k from reaching the next funding milestone - and only 2 days ago it was $10k.
Reaching it will add live streaming directly from your phone via the app. Think how important live streaming is, especially on days like No Kings Day to provide censorship free documentation of protests.

Hello World!
I just spoke with a #US #Senator office about the #fediverse . They're asking for more information to help spread around #Capital #Hill in small bite sized easy to understand pieces. I'm obviously going to give them @elena beautiful #movie on the #fedi (with some light editing which she's agreed to).
I'll of course show them https://fediverse.info/ and https://fedi.tips/ which are great websites. I figured I'd give them examples of amazing #AP projects such as #mastodon , #pixelfed , #peertube , #bandwagon , and #bonfire ; even things like @admin .
I'd love to know from folks any EASY to understand projects that best encompass the Fediverse and explanations of it.
What are some projects you'd hand to your friends and family that would explain and display to them what we are?
I'll say this isn't going to happen over night. There's lot of questions around regulations, trust & safety, etc. But I feel it's pertinent to at least get the conversation going, especially considering the current state of disdain for big social media and the impending legislation around these things.
I'll finally state if there's anyone in this list that does NOT want to be involved with this, that's totally fine and I understand and I can exclude you from the materials I give to them.

EDIT2: PeerTube is no longer using WebTorrent for Redundancy - see thread below
PeerTube has RSS feeds with WebTorrent links. You can grab those links and seed whatever content you wish using a WebTorrent client without having to install an entire PeerTube instance.
What does this do? It helps alleviate some of the streaming costs of servers and ensures a smoother experience for everyone on the decentralized web.
Yay for open source platforms!

I have a strange #PeerTube question. So I don’t really want to host an entire instance of peertube.
But! I wouldn’t mind acting as a peer for specific videos I approve to help offload streaming costs.
Does such a thing exist?

We've recently added WriteFreely to our services! It isn't a perfect service, but it's the best option of those available and we think it's a great addition, and we hope the long-form games writing community will grow with our contribution to it.
The Rules
We wish to run a friendly, kind and inclusive server, and do not have any tolerance for discrimination or bigotry of any kind, including but not limited to racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia. It can be hard enough for people to be their true selves offline, let's not make it harder online too.
We also have no tolerance for the promotion or nazi, alt-right and ultra-conservative ideologies.
In the pursuit of accessibility, we ask users to add alt-text to their images where they're apply to for the advantage of those using screen readers to interact with us. However, we also do not tolerate abuse toward users who might forget to do so or aren't used to doing it yet.
Legal Status
All of our infrastructure and user data is held in Australia.
